How time flies when your having fun
So much has happened since the end of last term it's hard to say where to begin. Three weeks in to the term and we have had the Winter Warmers, where the children were treated to pumpkin soup for lunch. We had Te Wiki o te Reo and last week was an amazing day with Queen Charlotte College having the Wearable Arts followed later in the afternoon by Southern Jazz Jam Festival by Secondary Schools from around the South Island. Here are some pics.

People Savers
Pauline from St Johns taught us how to;
- put people on their sides so they don't swallow when they spew and choke.
- That you pinch your nose and lean forward not backwards when you have a bleeding nose.
- How important it is for people who are not well to have oxygen.
- We learned how to dial 111 and give information for emergency services
We practiced what to do when someone is hurt.

Homework No.3-Tell the World...!!!
Hmmmmm a bit disappointing that not many had gone on to the blogsite last week, so this weeks challenge is to get as many as we can to leave a comment on our blogsite. The idea is to get someone you know to have a look at our blogsite and leave a comment.
How many people can we get not only from New Zealand but around the world ?
They must mention that you told them about this site and then they leave a comment on this homework page, and if they want on other posts.
Good Luck

Duffy Role Model Assembly
Last term Picton School were fortunate to have Mary Kippenberger and Peter Charlton-Jones visit as part of Dufy Role Models.
The children in room 2 wrote recounts on what was a wonderful assembly please read some of the excerpts.
"On Monday 23rd of March it was the Duffy Role Model Assembly. It was in the school hall. The people that did the Role Model Assembly was Mary Kippenberger and Peter Charlton-Jones......My favourite part about the Duffy Role Model Assembly was the play because it looked like the Prince was about to kiss Sleeping Beauty. I hope they come again." Brylee
"Some people got chosen for a play. It was called Sleeping Beauty. It was about an evil fairy and good fairies, Aurora and a Prince, a Princess and King and Queen. It was funny when everyone dressed up........I want them to come back next month." Gemma
"Mary Kippenberger and Peter Charlton-Jones sang ua a song 'I Don't Like My Pants Falling Down'. Mt favourite part of the song was 'I Don't Like My Bottom Making Noises'. Peters guitar look like it had been made a long time ago. Peter was very good at playing the guitar and Mary was a very good singer. I liked the song becaise it was funny......I liked the play, story and the song. I hope they can come again." Liberty
"My most favourite part was when P.J tapped Sleeping Beauty (Billie) on the shoulder. They both came together and instead of kissing they shook hands. And that was the end of the play. I didn't want them to go at the end. I wanted them to stay, but they have to go so I'll be waiting for them next year." Jack
